Wouldn't cross members be a lot more effective. Or is it more about rock/trail protection for crawling than chassis flex?

Frame stiffeners are there to make the frame more rigid. Unibodies flex, and cause cracking.

I went with Tnt stiffs...if you make your own or buy them it is a good investment...it really took alot of body flex and creaks-rattles out of my heep...

I know all about unibodies, but usually if you want a more rigid structure (cars, buildings, etc.) the way to reduce rigidness is with cross bracing, at least more effective against twisting. That is why I thought maybe it was more about just keeping the underside protected from dents and scrapping.

Not to hijack the thread but the ruff stuff frame stiffeners, can you put those on before you install a long arm lift kit or does the kit need to go on first before the stiffeners?

I don't think we want to reduce it.
