Draining Torque Converter
Hello, my '94 jeep grand cherokee 5.2 v8 recently went nose first into a water filled deep ditch during a torrential down pour. The crank case has been drained and refilled. The vehichle runs fine but the tranny also got water in it. The fluid is a pinkish color. How do I drain the torque converter?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Two home ways come to mind. 1.Fill, run, drain. Repeat this several times until fluid appears clean. 2. Requires an assistant and lots of fluid. Disconnect high pressure line coming from tranny. Start vehicle and add fluid through dipstick until fluid leaving line is completely clean. Turn engine off. Disconnect both lines at tranny and using compressed air blow lines and cooler out completely. Reconnect lines and check fluid level and fill to correct "Warm" level. Short of pulling tranny, removing the convertor and flushing convertor out, this is all I can come up with.
