I need to put new shocks on my stock 95 Jeep Grand Orvis Limited...

Should I put heavy duty shocks on it or not?

What kind of shocks would u put on it?

Thanks for all the info on this board....

That all depends on what your going to do with it...Are you planning on keeping on the pavement all the time or doing some off-roading? If you plan on taking it off road I wouldnt go with a stock replacement.

If the shocks are shot then yes. If your keeping it on the road it is going to give you a better ride but it is not really a big deal. Now if your planing to lift it i would wait till u pick the hight of the lift. It is all up to what you want to do with the jeep.

Thanks guys,

I just want to go off road in decent areas once in a while, and drive on the pavement most of the time.

I had it checked out today the shocks were fine but my problem was the control arms, upper and lower, rubber bushings are wore out, I think I will replace the whole control arms on upper and lower arms...It is only around $128.00 more for the whole arms.
The rubber bushings are more than I thought they would be just by themselves...

Has anyone replaced these arms and how hard is it to change them?

Thanks again....

When you change them, take note of where the cam-bolts are. Lower arms, axle end on my '97. Those bolts are used for adjusting caster.
