Cool. I actually looked at that one in the flyer last month but with my arm in a sling and not being able to do anything in the shop I let it slide. Maybe now that I can do a little work I'll check into it again.

I bought my welding blankets, magnets and a few other items there. Wouldn't buy anything there that you really need to be precise with but that sort of stuff is decent for the price.

As for gloves I like the Kobalt ones from Lowe's. Of course I'm usually too dumb to put them on until after I have burned holes in my expensive Mechanix Wear first. The Kobalt's seem to be a little more flexible than the old brown leather ones so you can actually use your hands a little bit.

I did a bit of testing to find a longer driver side e-brake cable. The best options for a 97+ is a right cable or a TJ rear cable. I ended up going with the TJ cable myself.

I was able to bolt the right 97+ cable on the top of the diff where the other one was. I was a little worried about it flopping around when I applied tension The cable seemed like an inch too short, so I wouldn't use it with an older cable.

Here's the TJ cable.

Planning on buying some 33x12.50r15 cooper STT Pro tires when I get home. I'm checking a local quote before I buy online. I photoshopped the wheels I'm planning on getting. I'm still in between on another set of wheels though..

Here's the other wheels I'm kind of on the fence with.

It took me awhile to find a great all around MT for the PNW!

Spent a little more time on the rack yesterday and got most of it constructed. Tacked the legs into place, cut and notched the leg connectors.

Overall I've learned.. Conduit benders don't give you consistent 90's, I need to shim the harbor freight tube notcher better, and I should have prepped a little better. Wasn't coming out how I wanted so I started to just slap to together quickly.

Yeah, you have to play with the bends a bit to get everything square.

Looks like it's going to work pretty nice in there.

Installed the steering and trans cooler. Ended up with a leak on the barbed fittings going into the cooler. I knew I should have used some Teflon tape!

Fixed the leak with some thread sealer. I also applied some Aviation form-a-gasket on the barbed fittings.. I wish I knew about that stuff before I put it all together. Probably would have kept a tighter seal.

Got the tires and wheels mounted! I might go off-roading this weekend. Although I'm scared for my Dana 35 now.

Then my IRO tie rod came in the mail right when I got back from the tire shop

Good to know. I've seen a few videos where they snap climbing up a hill. So I was a little worried barley pushing it.

Think I'll just run my spare in the back for now.. Yesterday I trimmed up the old style flares I got for free, and put a coat of paint on them. I'll start working on the back when I have some extra time.
