Me? Nope, not a one. Engine runs just as before. But the needle on the gas gauge is dropping faster.....

You checked the OBD with your key?

If it's running fine and you have no codes all I can tell you what happened when my gas mileage dropped like yours. Twice in 9yrs. First time was plugs. Second time was o2 sensors.

Does anybody think that a 2000 Wrangler Seat Bottom, the part your butt is on, would be the same as a 2000 Cherokee Sport one?

The actual seat? Probably, XJ and ZJ seats interchange in at least 1997+, TJ and XJ overlapped by 5 years. They might even be the same

I have one piece buckets in my '00 XJ. I have since picked up 2 complete sets of Camel removable headrest leather seats. Front and back. In so so condition. Picked them up cheap. I did not buy them because they were leather. I bought them cause they were removable headrest seats. My goal is to rehab the seats, primarily driver's front, as best I can and then use these CoverKing seat covers I bought. Just to slow down the deteoration of the seats. So I have figured out that the backs are the same. The part your back rests on. Seeing how passenger seats are always in better shape I can use the second passenger seat one for that. Rehabing the part your butt is on is a different story. It appears it might be possible to use the passenger side for this too with modding it a bit. It won't be right because the carpet will now be on the outside. But the seat covers will hide that. The foam is a little beat too. Now I have a chance to buy this. See the pic. Thing is I believe it to be from an '00 Wrangler. The cover itself won't match, but then again the seat cover will hide that, but it is kinda of the foam I am more interested in. Hence the question.

Guys I need you worse than a dead man needs a coffin.
1999 XJ has intermittently died on me while idling but typically has cranked right back up. All gauges stay up, it just stops running. Hopped into jeep to go to church tonight and made it to the Road before it died and wont crank back up. No check engine light, no code violation (ran the key trick). I did run some techron last week that seemed to help.
Any ideas?

Edit: I think I found the problem

Replaced it with good ole Standard parts now it's running like a top.

But I still have a question.
Do I need to grease anything? I just slapped the cap and rotor on in a hurry but there's an autozone nearby if I need to do anything else.

LAST EDIT: I was wrong. Was going to go to autozone and now it will not start again. Back to square one.

Default Stoping fluid leaks

Hey guys, going to have a week or two off of work coming up and want to work on my Cherokee.

I have a confirmed oil leak coming from my oil filter adapter and need to replace it. But I did just hit 150k on my 96 and was wondering if I'd be in the wrong to replace other gaskets while I'm at it. Oil pan, rear main seal, valve cover etc... opinions?

Your valve cover gasket will probably start leaking soon if it doesn't already, but I wouldn't go through all the trouble of replacing the others unless there's a reason

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

That being said there IS preventative maintenance, but I wouldn't go through the trouble of replacing gaskets that are functioning properly. A tune up is a different story. Plugs, cap, rotor, plug wires, oil change, coolant flush, etc.

I replaced the coil last night, fired right up. This morning, fired right up on the way to the gym. Hour and a half later, turns over fine but can't get it to run.
