torque converter lockup, or missadjusted throttle valve cable?
Hey everyone, I just read the "quick free fix" thread about adjusting the throttle valve cable. I followed the thread, and I think I did it right. Now after ive done it, in the higher gears it seems like the lockup clutch isnt working properly. Immediately when I get into steady throttle it seems to engage, causing my engine to lug. if I lightly touch the brake it disengages and drives normal, as long as the pedal is lightly pressed. Any ideas?

the torque converter locks up when your cruising down the road but will unlock when you step on the brake. sounds like it is running normal. every Cherokee Iv driven has bogged down a small bit when the t/c locks up.
