Hey everybody. I am relatively new to this forum. I just picked up a 2001 xj a couple months back. My shocks are going bad, and I was wondering what shocks everyone here would recommend for me to replace my original shocks with. My xj is all factory stock.

I have heard that Skyjacker shocks are really good. I would like to know what Skyjacker shocks I should look into getting for my vehicle.

If had a set of sky jacker hydro shocks i would not use them for daily driving.....if u want something nice for a stock daily driver i would get some monroe's ..i have monroe gasmatics on my daily driver and really like them. If yu really must spend a bunch of money on shocks you can look at bilstien shocks.

 

i spent two days researching shocks about a month or so ago,most pepole I talked to said skyjacker was there most popular brand,because of there smooth ride,I think price has alot to do with it also.
I decided to buy dt baja riders because they have a larger piston and piston rod,they are great and happy I bought them. They are about $100 more than skyjackers.

 

I've heard nothing but good things about Bilstein 5150s. Those will probably be my next set of shocks, or something even nicer.

 

all the cheap white body shocks are the same, except for the stickers on them.
