Default 99 cherokee electric fan queston

ok since i hvae owned my jeep my fan would always kick on every 10 seconds or so and i have always just let it go.. now it kicks on and off every 3-5 seconds.. what could cause this

oh and its not running hot. it runs around 190 ish

sometimes.. but it does it no matter what the climate control is on

The real question is whether or not the compressor is running simultaneous with the fan. If it is, you might need some refrigerant.

ok the other day i un plugged the fan and i noticed that there was something else under the hood cycling every couple seconds like the fan would... would this be tha ac compressor, and if so is there any way to fix it temp. till i can get ti filled

is that the wire coming out of the ac compresser? cause i did and it makes the fan stay on

I am no expert but the fan is controlled by the computer and the switch you unplugged. It must be thinking the pressure is too high on the compressor, thus keeping the fan on all the time. The switch on mine is not working correctly so when pressure builds up it doesnt tell the computer to turn on the fan. So computer tells compressor to stop cycling. Hope this wasn't confusing. I've just learned a lot on here. Lol
