Time for new ones. 150k on the originals. I searched A LOT today online for the most recommended brand. Aftermarket vs dealer were split pretty even. Best to make it a dealer purchase?

Just buy Bosch O2 sensors. Doesn't matter where. Bosch makes the oe sensors.

I read where NGT/NGK and DENSO are also suppose to supply MOPAR. Seems the brand that falls within MOPAR's tight specs gets the sale. Quite a few posters said anything other than MOPAR didn't work out. I only want to do this once.

Replaced my failing upstream sensor (false p071) with a Bosch unit. 20,000 miles, no issues.

Use NTK O2S.

They are OEM O2S.

Don't use any other O2S or you'll be back changing it out for an NTK.

Check Rockauto for good pricing.

Good luck.

So I got one of these before I went to the shop to redo my exhaust and I asked them to throw it in while they were working on it. They came back and said they've had issues and they recommended another type. Is it hit or miss? I got this one on an Amazon sale for a little over $20. Should I just try it and replace it if it doesn't work or should I sell it and get the NTK one?

Thanks guys, new to ZJ's.

Edit: and this is the right one?

NTK/NGK are the OEM unit. Had a '97 project that had the original units in them for 248,000 miles before they failed. I got them @ AZ for ~$60 ea.

What year is your ZJ? I believe the 23016 is for 94-96.

Yeah, don't buy the Bosch oxygen sensor. I had one for year on my 94 and didn't like it. My NTK sensor is much better. Generally speaking I really like Bosch parts, but when it comes to O2 sensors just get mopar/NTK.

96. Ok, looks like I can sell the Bosch one on ebay for a profit and only need another couple bucks for the right one...Thanks!

23016 is the downstream sensor. You need the downstream sensor? If you need both 23121 is the upstream sensor.

Yup, downstream.

Edit: I don't get why the upstream one is cheaper...lol Is this one plug and play or do you have to splice it in like the Bosch one?

Just making sure.

Plug and play. Downstream one is only $1 more at Rock Auto.
