GM HEI's can be modded to FIT
into any motor.
Example: 1982 Chrysler 5th Ave 318 w/auto
**Howler's handiwork. GM HEI head grafted onto Mopar dist. base with machined shaft. Cured all hard starting/ wet starting and Lean-Burn Computer isses (it replaced Lean-Burn) I made several of these units. The one pictured ran for over 60K after I sold the car. 5th Ave got hit hard in rear. Owner removed drivetrain and junked car.**
is one thing WORKING PROPERLY
is another. I am unsure at this moment if there is wiring compatability -OR- if this system would cause computer to fault or give an annoying CEL/SES light.
Might want to check with Davis Unified Ignitions (D.U.I. for short...
Thier systems are what originally gave me the idea to try what I did with that 5th Ave. That and I didn't feel like forking over almost $400.
Guess Im a cheapo that way.
Did this answer the question??? Probably not.
But at least it was a good excuse to post some pic of my work.
Bad Howler, baaaaad, badbadbad.
