HELP!!! Cherokee Making this Weird Noise (Video)
I attached the video & linked the video. This is not my jeep, it is a friends, we are going to work on it this Sunday, he's an army vet and has a bad back. I am not a jeep xj doctor, i used to have an xj, no longer so I need some help here.
This is what he says about the noise its making "The Noise Goes away while the engine is under load. So if I am hitting the gas while it's in gear it goes away. But if I let off the gas and coast or if i am hitting the brakes sitting at a light the noise comes back."
Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Link is below. I attached the video also. I will also try to post it below but im having trouble.

Its going to be loose flex plate to torque converter bolts of you flex plate is cracked. Pull the inspection plate on the front of the tranny and check the 4 bolts that they are tight. If they are you going to have get a pry bar or big screw driver and start prying all around the flex plate looking for cracks. If the plate is cracked then transmission must come out to replace. If the bolts are loose you will want to take them out 1 at a time, put some red loktight on it and re torque them down. Be careful when torqueing them back down, its said if you over torque them you can also potentially crack the flex plate. Here is a picture of what my cracked flex plate looked like when it cracked all to hell

Agreed if it is the flexplate fix it ASAP, the holes will be wallowed out (even if it isn't cracked )so go to rock auto or a scrap yard and get a flexplate. Rock auto has them from $30 to $90.

Old fart with a wrench
Loose bellhousing bolts or a bent transmission input shaft will cause that. I once bought a Chevy truck that the guy had just swapped a 305 for a 350 before I bought it. After about a week, the flexplate center cracked out. Going to take it apart, ALL the bolts were loose! Replaced the flexplate, sold the truck 4 years later.
