Here's a few of the threads I read.

http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.ph...light=gas+tank

And about my reserve fuel amount, I checked the sending unit today and it was off according to the wiring diagram. (0 ohms empty, 88 ohms full) Mines was still 2-3ohms empty and over 90 at full.

There is a "rubber" cone that fit's on the return line which fits into a socket in the tray in there where the inlet screen ends up. I found this in my own signature! >>>
Below is the inside of the tank. The black ring is the end of the cone that goes on the end of the fuel return line and holds the whole assembly in place. (I suppose it could be fished out and installed on the metal line, giving a guy a chance of seating it correctly) The fuel return, and pickup are located in a tray, inside the tank, to provide fuel more consistently.

The reason for the reserve fuel is to keep the pump wet and prevent from running dry. It's something to help you not burn out your fuel pump. My durango has a 26gallon tank and tells me im dead E when i still have 6gallons left. The overhead "Distance to empty" display(The mpg readout that tells me how many gallons i have till no fuel says the same)on my durango says the same thing I drove 40 miles with the dte saying 0 miles left before I filled up the one time.

There is no "reserve".
There is a low fuel light to tell you that it's 2 gallons til empty.
The pickup screen lies right on the bottom of the tank.
