Default Brakes dragging

Ok, so now that I finally got this big bad beast up and running, I'm having a little problem with the brakes. I went and drove it about 20 min after new fuel pump installed. Came back home. Took my bro with me on another 20 min drive. When I got back home, I went to back in the driveway, and could smell brake pads. When I put it in reverse, I actually had to give it throttle to force it backwards. It wasn't real bad, but I could tell they were dragging. Parked. Put my hand close to the front drivers wheel, and it very hot. Passengers side was pretty warm, but nowhere near the other side. Pulled wheel off, and caliper seems to operate good. Anything I need to know here? Suggestions? After it cools off, I can drive it just fine, but after a while, when it gets hot, does it again. Last time I had an issue like this, was my half ton truck. Replaced calipers.

Either a stuck caliper or the caliper bracket has a groove where the pad rides.

I know exactly what you're talking bout with the groove. Not a problem though. I guess I might just replace front calipers and flush brake fluid

The way it was explained to me. If you open the bleeder valve and fluid comes flying out it is the hose. If a little fluid drips out of it is the caliper.

I did check them before, thinking they might be gummed up, but we're clean. I will lube up. Thanks

Lube the outside of the sleeve. The whole sleeve moves back and forth, the bolt just holds it against the caliper

Fyi do not use bearing grease or stuff like that on the pins. Use silicon paste or the stuff you put on the back of break pads. Bearing grease will gum up and seize them up. Learn from my mistakes...

Ouch. I'm sure that was not a fun ordeal. Thanks for the advice and tips

Autozone has real caliper grease, sometimes they have the little packets, I have a jar of Permatex green brake lube for this stuff

I have a buddy that might be able to get ahold of some stuff like that, no charge. Wasn't able to get to the jeep yesterday. Lucked out and had the day off, so I took care of the things that my wife's DD needed.
