First off want to start out by saying that I am new to the jeep world and that hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. Just bought my first jeep 2 days ago and so far so good. Bought a 96 cherokee 4x4 4dr sport. So far the only compliant that I have is that I'm 6 ft 3 and the drivers seat doesn't quite go back far enough! So my question is, is there a new base I can buy to push the seat a few inches back? ... or am I going to have to fabricate my own? I've looked around and tried to find something like what I'm looking for to no avail, also searched this forum but like I said I'm new and could be searching wrong. Or is there a aftermarket seat that would accommodate me without choosing an arm and a leg? Any advice and tips will be greatly appreciated!

You're gonna be fabbing something to move the seat.

I know the big weakness with 8.8s is spinning the tubes, and the tubes can be welded to the housing to prevent that. But if I'm buying a used 8.8, where exactly do I look to check for a spun tube?

It's not going to be spun a little bit, it's going to be spun a lot. Broken plug welds and even cracks in the housing. You'd notice it if it were spun.

This has gotta be a first....
Anybody have a recommendation for lubricating door window channels?
My electric windows are sllooooooooooowwww. Occasionally when it rains, they seem to close a little quicker.
Is there anything I can apply to those channels so the window will slide a little easier?
I also have a problem with wipers. I've changed the motor 3 times, and the wiper apparatus twice, and they STILL will not move very fast, and not at all if the glass isn't wet.
The electrical feed reads 12V, so it's not an electrical issue. Are they naturally underpowered?
Anybody have a recommendation for lubricating door window channels?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, i didnt feel like it was a big enough question for the "other vehicles" section of the forum. Im about to replace the shocks on my 1989 GMC S15 Jimmy and im looking at the Bilstein 4600's and the 5100's. Bilsteins website says that the 5100's are for lifted vehicles, but i dont know if my little shackle/tweaked torsion bar lift necessitates those shocks. So my question is should i go 5100's or 4600's on a vehicle with about 1.5 inches of lift.

No I've search for diagrams and the only one I can seen to find is for the headlights but the colors are all different. I looked at the turn signal switch the brown w white and the light blue also run through that but no white w green or extra red w orange. so I'm guessing those turn off the NON existent fog lights when the headlights are on?? And the extra red w orange is a power for foods and white with pink is a signal on off wire? As far as I'm concerned the headlights are wired right and the extra wires are for the figs my jeep doesn't have I do remember reading somewhere that all jeeps are pre wired for all options whether it had then or not is this true?
