You mean with the speedo needle pointed straight down going up a grade? Not at all.

The 746 flow rate is about the same as stock, an ideal choice for a Renix Jeep. 703's are about as good although it seemed a little smoother with 746's and uses a tad less gas.

I swapped to the 746s about 400 miles ago in my 90 4.0l. Instant improvement in throttle response and idle quality. Not sure how much of that can be attributed to fouled old injectors versus cleaned, fresh injectors. Fuel mileage improvement is negligible.

I'm going to try to resurrect this older thread.
Would those of you who actually swapped to the 746 injectors list what engine, intake, ignition and/or exhaust upgrades you have, if applicable?
If you also tried the 703s, and then reverted to the 746s, please explain why.
I have a reason for asking, but see no point to explain it unless someone is really that bored.

I have a 1990 jeep laredo. Temps hit the negatives in my area on Thursday. My coolant froze and my jeep started to over heat (time for some better antifreeze). For some reason it caused my injectors to start leaking like a sieve. I couldn't bring myself to spend the time and money rebuilding the old ones (knowing that it might not fix the problem).
I couldn't currently find anybody here that was selling the injectors, but I did find a seller on ebay "ld-autoparts".
A set of 6 746s cleaned & flow tested with a new upper o-ring and filter. I sent him an offer, and he countered at $70. I had a $15 ebay bucks coupon so it came out to $55. He shipped them the same day. They should be arriving Monday.
I'm currently getting around 12mpg. I'm interested to see what sort of a difference these make. A cheap fix, and an upgrade at the same time. Feels like a win so far.

I did my '87 4.0L upgraded to 746. Didn't really notice better fuel economy but better throttle response for sure. My stock injectors would leak fuel out the body. Not having the potential for an engine fire was a big plus!

I also picked up an ntk 23553 o2 sensor & new ground strap. Hopefully the combo will help me out a bit with cold starts.
My injectors were leaking to begin with. I noticed the over heating problem almost immediately, but still pushed it to about 230* before pulling over. It is running normal. I think the fluctuation in temps just exposed a problem that was already there.

Well any difference would be a +. Really it doesn't matter though. I needed new injectors, and these were actually less than stock ones.

I have the 703's and I have a 4.6 stroker have yet to fire it as it's just built so my question is should I keep the 703''s or switch to the new ones also a little back ground it's a 1990 jeep heavily modded for a list check my build sheet on this forum. I was thinking it could use the extra fuel.

NickInTime supposedly has the hot ticket for a Renix stroker.

Not really any. I just got it in November to get through the winter. So far I gave the motor / chassis a heavy degreasing and a 180* bath to expose any problems. The suspension needs work & I ended up having to replace the hvac heater control. When it warms up a bit I will start driving my car again & give the jeep some real tlc. I plan on switching out the motor for a newer stroker in a few months, so for now I'm keeping it simple & saving money.
