Comanche is a great truck. Get one. If you are going to get one, I would strongly suggest making sure it is an '87 or later with the 4.0 in it. Not the 4 cyl or the old v6. I made the mistake of mentioning that on another forum and some were a littte touchy about it.

Rust behind the wheel flairs is a constant problem. Cherokees arent as big an issue since you can still get fenders for those. But you need to be a little lucky to find a comanche bed in good shape.

This is sweet! I want one. But at the same time keep my XJ

I have one of the few rust free comanche's sitting at my parents house. However it was one of my high school rides so its not in the best shape body wise. And it had the stupid 4 cyl in it which is worthless. One day I may try and revive it but for now its just sitting and waiting for someone to come to its rescue.

I remember when I was growing up, my G'pa had a couple of the Jeep Trucks, they were a blast....If you find one in good shape I wouldn't pass it up, you'll enjoy the heck out of it!

Yes they are alot like the cherokee same motors drive train is the same frame is a little diffrent they share alot of body lines with the two door cherokee for example if you were to buy bushwakers they would send the same ones they would send for the two door xj.the front doors from a 4 door will fit fenders etc

Default COMANCHE!!!!

I have 4 of these little pickups. I DD a 91 2wd 4.0 right now and have a 88 2wd that is not rusty to drive in the summertime.

Other 2 are projects, one needs `gasp` rust repair and the other needs a driveline and paint...

MJ's do rock. Go to Comancheclub.com and study for yourself. All are prone to rust in floor pans. 99% of the MJ is interchangeable with an XJ. Matter of fact lots of MJ owners change motor and interior to late model XJ's. Allows for the HO motor and power interior options.

I built my Comanche just for play so it isn't a show rig but I love it. With my factory buckets I can only take one other passenger. Not good if you want to take others along.

And yes.......
If you own one you will have to carry out the trash. LOL
