I bought a hidden winch bumper off a guy on fb marketplace. Learned that the holes in the bumper for the winch mount are 10”x5” and the standard mount pattern for winches are 10”x4.5”. I tried fitting my winch up to it and it’s not even close to fitting.

Thinking my options are to plug weld and re-drill the top holes, weld another plate over the existing holes and re-drill, or extend the top hole down and have an extended slot hole. Thoughts or suggestions on which would be best? Leaning towards the plug weld.

I’m in an apartment right now and newish to Denver so don’t hate access to a welder or know anyone with one. Could rent one if needed. If anyone’s in Denver area and could help me out let me know!
