recently I bought both a high KM 1998 Jeep ZJ with a 5.2L, and a low km 1999 5.9L engine from a Dodge. I’m wondering what I should look out for while doing the swap. Currently I have the engine removed from the Jeep.
The 5.9 came with the PCM and wiring harness, and one motor mount.
I’ve noticed the flex plate on the 5.9 had a harmonic balancer while the 5.2L does not - should I swap them?
Ive also heard things about the motor mounts being different, which Is fine except the 5.9 only came with 1 mount and it’s much larger than the space in the bay will allow.
I’ll include some images of the flex plates and motor mounts for reference.
other than that, any other tips before I install the new motor?
