Default Body armor with stock flares?

Is anyone running RC rear body armor with stock plastic fender flares?

pretty sure it will work (maybe drill holes and use longer bolts)

but if anyone has pics, I'd appreciate it.

Won't they just tear off the second you rub something?

They haven't fallen off in 27 years. I don't expect them to.
I don't 'rub' things.

Not everyone that owns a jeep goes bashing around in the woods.

(not that there is anything wrong with that)

Following I have some body damage on passenger side and was looking at rough country body armor. I have a 1996 and wanna keep the stock flares bc they look sharp I think. Did you find out if it would work?

if the 96 bolts up the same way as my 92 it looks like the armor bolts up to the same spot, so the stock flares wouldn't work unless those bolts can be removed

I got stuck at body armor. if you don't go off into the woods what's the point. It looks cool.I might run it anyway but I do smash into things. To each his own. Have 😁 fun!

Yes, They fit just fine. I may have drilled a couple new holes for the steel/inner mounts.... nothing too difficult.

I replaced all the 10mm cheesy mounting bolts with 1/4-20 hardware. I tack welded them to the back side of the steel mounting brackets... for the plastic fenders.

I like the look of them and it does hide a little cancer in the back. I still need to fix a little but it's a big improvement.
