I will be retaining my ABS, so I looked closely at the '98 ZJ knuckle ABS mount..
It sits in the steering bracket with a bolt hole and a locator hole..
The Early XJ knuckle is hollow there, but I think I can just make a bracket coming off one of the bearing mounts easily.
ABS Sensor looks like this:
So if I make a sheet metal bracket coming off teh wheel bearing hole, It would mount like this:

Searched for a couple of weeks for a used set of SRT8 six piston front calipers with no avail...
Ebayers want $700+ for a pair.
After a lot of thought, I bought a Nugeon re-manufactured caliper from Rockauto... figured that $127 plus a $55 core charge was the best way to go... but they only had a LH unit in stock.
While I was waiting for that to arrive, I actually found a RH Re-manufactured Caliper from Autozone for $73 plus a $55 core... much cheaper!
But when the Nugeon Caliper arrived, I was very surprised to see, that I dont think its a reman at all... I think they are new, virgin Chinese knock offs
Im ok with it being a knock off.
it has new seals and pistons already so saving me a ton of $, and I’m sure it will perform well enough for me… I’m 63, and not the racer I was…
These are clearly painted, not powder coated... it chips off so easy which is fine, because I intend to strip and powdercoat them another color anyway.
Be interesting to see what the Autozone caliper is like when it gets here.
