Hello all, I have been reading around and searching for the best options to fit my scenario. I have a 97 ZJ that is set up as my off-road/camping rig that is only driven from time to time. It has a Rubicon Express 4.5" short arm lift that supports a front winch plate/winch, MVF roof rack and a roof top tent. When we go camping and I am loaded down with gear, coolers, water, wood etc. it will bottom out the shocks on some bigger bumps and even when taking slower sharp turns where it leans over. Under off-roading conditions under full flex it will also bottom out the shocks. Ride quality is not a huge concern, mostly want the performance. Here are the options that I am considering, looking for your input.
1. Replace rear 4.5" lift coil springs with 5.5" or 6" springs along with new appropriately sized off-road shocks.
2. Replace rear shocks with some sort of air shocks like the Fox 2.0 or Radflo or whatever to buffer more.
3. Add air bags in the rear springs and new off-road shocks (least favorable option, more things that can fail).
