Also, the radio is out too. These issues started last night on my way home. It just happened as my kids were messing with something in the back seats - most likely an unrelated coincidence. I've checked all the fuses from the glovebox manual. I really really need my heat due to very cold temps over the next week. Ironically, I just spent $1500 getting this thing ready for winter and we have snow on the ground, so I was feeling confident in being able to use this vehicle to get me to work in a remote location.
I'm rather new to the ZJ, having owned a XJ and dealing with very limited electrical issues. This ZJ seems to like to give me electrical issues often, but nothing this bad. I'm a novice with electrical stuff. I don't have a volt meter to check for power on anything. What do you guys recommend I start looking into first?

Checked all the fuses in the power center under the hood? Looks like fuse 8 in the inside fusebox is the hvac and console. Kids shoving pennies in the cigarette lighter?

 

I recheck the fuses again. The kids were messing with the over head lights or something in the backseat as we were all getting in and getting settled. I'm not sure what they did, but I doubt it was anything more than pushing the plastic piece up into the overhead console.
