Yeah thanks TJ, Thats what im saying, But i look and cant find no bad connections, im thinking there might be a short somewhere, or like wires touching.
Maybe a blown fuse? is there a such thing?

i dont believe it should turn over/crank with the clutch released. i hope someone can confirm this. if you are not the original owner then maybe someone has bypassed the clutch switch so it will crank when ever the key is turned.

hmm... i wonder if you could briefly touch the starter with a cable and a battery separate from your jeep's system..... i did this with one of my older tractors haha but if u try it be extremely careful and have it in neutral and the ignition in the on position

what i'm getting at is that if this is the case and that switch has been bypassed, maybe it has come undone.

the idea of that is to bypass the whole starting system

if it does in fact have that switch (and i sincerly believe it should) it will be on or around the clutch pedal/linkage so when you push in on the pedal the switch is engaged thus enabling the starter. maybe look for evidence that some one has been hacking on the electrical system. black tape or terminals that do not look factory.

on a renix the the starter relay is attached to the power center where the other relays are under the hood...its not a normal looking relay but a small metel box attached by a tab held on by two screws. Its near the battery and it will have a bunch of wires and connectors coming out if it. Something you can do is jump the starter and bypass the relay if is starts you know its yur relay. Get some test cables with gator clips on the end, attach one end to the small terminal on your starter and the other end touch it on the pos battery post....make sure you have the key ON and see if she cranks with the key ON yu should be able to start it this way.

this is a good troubleshooting step to test the starter but it bypasses the entire start circuit. if he has a safety switch locking out the starter. this will bypass that as well. his rig will normally crank when the clutch is not pushed in so we know it has a problem there. maybe we can narrow it down and help him get it fixed.

ok took a look around and i saw the linkage that goes through the fire wall, if this is correct. But i could not find and wires, jus the linkage, Should i take a look inside the engine bay? But i couldnt find any switch from inside the jeep by the pedals.

I tried that jus right now and it didnt crank, all i heard was like a hissing towards the rear, which im guessing might be the pump? But no crank
