Howdy everyone,

Recently been having an issue with the A/C in my 2000 XJ. No matter the A/C setting the majority of the air is blowing out through the defroster vents in the dash. When accelerating that is where most of the air is coming out, however when I'm coasting/going down hill, etc. normal flow starts coming out of the vents again. Not sure if its related, but also some mornings I have noticed what I can only described as a "fog" coming from the two vents nearest the windows. That usually stops after driving for a few minutes.

Heater core could be on it's way out.

 

Thanks for the speedy feedback. I had a feeling that the fog was a symptom of a dying heater core. Any recommendation on how to best go about fixing the vacuum leak?
