Replacing 4 tie-rods due to slop in each joint. Also replacing CV axle shafts and wheel bearings. Changing gear oil, steering fluid and brake fluid. Bought a tie-rod remover too for the always difficult end at pitman arm.

Picked up these Tiburon seats from a junkyard yesterday for $40! I was told they were black leather, heated and non-airbag. Drove an hour to get them, turns out they have the red fabric, not heated and have airbags. I decided I'm not going to install them. Oh well, the price was right.
I was going to cut my seat bracket down today to gain some headroom. After removing the seat I remembered reading that the powered seat brackets mount much higher than the manual. Comparing my powered driver's bracket to the manual passenger, the seat mounts the same height from the floor but the manual bracket is much taller because there are no motors to take up room. This means there is an additional ~1.5" to cut out of the manual brackets compared to the powered.
I'm going to pick up a driver's side manual seat bracket and keep my eyes open for some Tibby seats in the configuration I want.

More like what I did not do to my XJ today. Set up to do the leak down test. Get everything prepped, took off the radiator cap, started the Jeep, let it get up to operating temperature, shut her down, remove the air cleaner off the throttle body, took off the oil filler cap, removed the coil bar and plugs. So I try to screw the hose into the spark plug hole and for the life of me can't get it in. Neither can my buddy. Can get compression tester hose in fine. I have an extra head. We could not get it in there either. No idea what is going on. A spark plug is 14mm. We believe the pitch to be 1.25 but are not sure. Can not find a nut to see if the hose might be defective. So today was a wasted day. One thing I did think to do was take my IR thermometer and check the temperature of the thermostat housing. My gauge and the IR gun read within reason of each other so I am going with my gauge being accurate enough.
2 hours of buffing later we get this (cut and polish). Pretty much looks the same. Still have to put a layer of wax on.
Lookin good there 5-speed....
That's one thing that will probably never be done on mine.... lol.... she's straight, no cancer... and I use a spray can of stone white to do touch-ups.
I keep her clean, but will probably not get the wax treatment unless it gets a new paint job some day.
