I built this rack last year. I used 1” conduit and JCR gutter mounts. The cross bars sit about 1/2” off the roof-about as close as possible. I can stand in the middle of them (150lbs) and they don’t bend enough to hit the roof. All that to say this thing is pretty stout even though it only weighs around 50lbs, if that.
It was my first major welding project. Some of the welds are ugly. Some of them look good. I’ve been running it for about a year and haven’t had any problems at all. I took extra time to make sure everything is square and symmetrical. It’s not twisted or wonky. It looks really good from all angles.
I’m selling because I’m getting a tire carrier and don’t need quite as big of a rack. If I get full asking price I’ll throw in the tire mount up top. It will had a fresh coat of paint on it
later this week.
not at all hahah...15 hour drive one way... my uncle is looking for one for his jeep that spans the whole roof and was hoping the distance wasnt too far.

I’d be happy to make him one or sell him this one, I just have no idea how much shipping would be. Or where to even start with shipping.
