I had a friend who owned a small cafe beer joint years back. He was always having problems with his septic system backing up because of so many people using it on the busy weekends. "I'm going to fix that for good!" he said one day. About two weeks later he called about 6 of us and told us to bring our guns down he needed some help. So we all get there and find that he had dug a hole at the end of his leach-line and had parked a short bus down in it with the leach-line run into it. He looked at us and said "It needs a bunch of holes before I bury it guys!" lol
I've seen some redneck jury-rigged **** in my day, but I believe that takes the cake! I'll bet it served the intended purpose though...

Lol... Yes it did! "Don't hit the windows guys, just below the windows, I don't want it to fill with dirt when I bury it". Actually it used to be quite common in this country to bury a car for use as a "Cesspool". He just went biggy size. Was it up to code? absolutely not. lol

We were all pretty crazy back then...

My Cherokee is far away, waiting for my return. So in the meantime I learn. Today watched videos about steering pump (removal, replacement, etc).. My wife reports a steering pump leak, not sure yet if from hoses or the pump itself, so getting ready so when I get there I can r&r as needed. Great thanks tot his forum and YouTube for the pointers and videos. Just have to find the parts there... :-(

Can I use the rear bumper caps and fender flares from the 84-96 Cherokee on my 2000 XJ. I put on new rear quarters, removing the end cap slide mount and don't want to go back to the wrap around bumper end cap, if possible. I want the flare to come all the way down instead of stopping at the end cap and don't want to go aftermarket flares.

After many years, I finally bought another one. It's a 94, 236k, 5spd. It was 2 quarts low on oil when I went and looked at it, and I'm pretty sure it's been sitting for a few months. But after adding some oil, and driving 40 miles home, it ran great and the shifting smoothed out. I'll start going over it this weekend and seeing what all needs to be done. But man, I'm glad to have another jeep.

Trying to find out why the blend door isnt working on its own. Motor inside works fine so next step is checking the wiring to the box.

Yea, it's going to be my toy jeep for the weekends as well as getting to work on nasty days. I'm thinking either 3" with 31's or 4" with 32's? I want it to be capable as well as easy to load camping or my music equipment.

Not the Cherokee, but the Comanche. Replaced the water pump, thermostat, and idler pulley. Ran and drove an hour back to school.

That's good... at least you were able to track it down. And they are pretty easy to replace.
