HELP.. I have a 94 cherokee sport four door that the D/S rear door won't unlock to open..The V shaped button won't move to unlock..Can the door panel be removed when door is closed? Or any advice? T.I.A. for any help..

 

I had a similar problem with mine. If you have power locks the actuator can get stuck. The thing that worked for me was to keep hitting the unlock button on the key fob until it worked its self loose. After getting it opened i sprayed the door latch good with WD40 and worked in there by closing it and opening it. if you dont have power locks sometimes the door could be miss aligned and you have to push on the outside of the door wile unlocking it. This method could work for power locks too.

 

Can you undo the handle from the inside? You may be able to get at the control linkage if you can get the handle and bezel out of the way and manipulate it by hand.

 

Following Dan's advice, try having someone push the door from the outside and see if you can rock the lock switch that way before trying to disassemble.

When you're done, lubricate the heck out of everything!
