What did you do to your Cherokee today?
New o2 sensor, picked up a few mpg and some power refresh. So nice to not be redlining it onto the highway now.
Need to get a new temp sensor and oil pressure sensor soon before winter hits!

I bought my third Cherokee yesterday. Pretty stoked. 97 2dr Sport, ax15, np231, dana 30, 8.25. Stock as a rock and only has 138k miles. Super mint! It's going to be my new DD, so nothing too crazy planned. Maybe, I mean maybe, I'll leave it at stock height, regear to 3:73s, streetable limited slip rear, selectable locker front, and 30s.

Installed new motor mounts on 97 Cherokee Country with 4.5 in lift. Brown Dog rubber mounts. What's strange is they seem to have eliminated my need for a TC drop. I'm not complaining, but not 100% sure how that can happen.

i just turn the steering wheel to line up the track bar. Less effort than a strap i would imagine
I need to stop looking on Craigslist and Ebay. Picked this up off Craigslist today. I believe it to be a Manik and not a Aries. Probably paid a little too much but..... $210. Had to drive to New York over the Tappan Zee Bridge. $19 in gas and $5 for the toll. Apparently I am going to receive a bill in the mail. They take a shot of your plate and send the bill to the address on the registration. Trying to figure where the shot was taken. You don't drive through a toll both. 155 mile round trip. Overhead said I averaged 19.3 MPG. My calculations come up at 21.4 MPG. I am OK with either one.

aw4 neutral safety switch. had plans to simply clean it, assuming it was dirty. broke the nut loose and a piece of the threaded section fell off. i am assuming someone overtightened it way back when and left it. gotta love municipal fleet maintenance.
edit: forgot to add that of course the new sensor wasn’t going to easily fit on the linkage, so i had to generously sand both pieces and persuade it back on with the same pry bar i used to remove it

I got home from our Turkey day visit with family and noticed the XJ was marking its territory while we were away. Rad started to leak. Pulled the Jeep in the garage and removed the radiator this evening. That lower trans cooler line was interesting....

^^ I don't feel so bad now... I got 17mpg out of my first tank at 6500ft above sea-level and that's before my fixes on her..... and the crap gas they do here in the winter. (you know that damn oxy/eth. blend). Just another one of the govt's genius schemes to siphon money off of all of us...claiming it's better for the environment bs.
