Default UGLY mod... But if done right?

Ok so I have saved a lot of weird jeep build pics. The majority I just laugh at, they typically go into the "jeep mod fails" category, and this one definitely fits! However, with proper implimentation could it work?

For clarification, I am not talking about that very weird roof... Thing? Not the weird doors... Talking about those front fenders! Anyone's thought on doing this properly?

It's hummer hood and fenders! ??? lol Actually I like the concept. I'm going to guess this guy did what he could with a rollover XJ. The wheels are turning now,,, Thanks for sharing this!

That's kinda what I thought too lol... I seen this and thought that would be a cool alternative to a cowl intake and cutting fenders... Install a prefilter, inline k&n, and have really deep fender wells as well as covering the wheels

Looks like someone got interested in experimenting with fiberglass molds.

I'm going to guess he is a glass guy and someone pretty much gave him a rolled over XJ. The light came on and he said "I can make this work!". I am actually in the very same situation myself right now. So this and the external full roll cage concepts are starting to look real attractive to me right now. lol

Exo cage covered by the glass body panels would be an idea.

I'm now thinking about going with an exocage in a 2" thickwall square tubing. I will indeed share when it gets to the point of project start.

I see a couple mistakes in how this tube exo was designed, There are thrust points not pushing against resistance points as there should be.

The mistakes I mentioned belonged on another thread... sorry.

But would it be an exo cage then ????????

At the end of the new XXX movie (title, not rating)...the military vehicle they are driving...I have thought flares like that might work well on a cherokee.

Fiberglass body panels on an offload vehicle? I don't like repairing fiberglass that much.

If it was a different color maybe. Like OD Green or Camo. Military style vehicles are allowed to be ugly and most are. lol
