Only Turbines are 5.25, everything else is 5.5. Here's 2.5" Backspacing on 33x10.50s lol

Sure makes cleaning the windshield easy.

I measured these OEM steel rims earlier and the b/s is 5.25.

This is a stock XJ (mine) with 235/75r15 tires on 15x8 steel wheels with 3.75" backspacing.

You did not screw yourself, you don't need to freak out, and nothing is going to rub. The only way they would rub is if you're offroading without your swaybars connected, you don't have any bumpstops at all, and you stuff a tire into the fender on uptravel.... even then, it's not serious enough to return the wheels.

Note also, there's a difference between "backspacing" and "wheel offset". You ordered wheels with 3.75" backspacing, not offset (which is measured in MM and measured differently altogether).

I don't believe that's accurate. All Cherokee 15x7's I'm aware of are 5.25 BS.

Not bad. If mine come out looking like that, I'll be happy. Have any other pics?

Haha... yeah man, tons.

There's just about every pic where you can see the tires from the time I got my 235/75s on my 15x8 American Racing Bajas (Aluminum w/ 3.75" bs), when I switched over to the Pacer 15x8 D-Windows (Steel wheels w/ 3.75" bs), then started trimming the fenders because I actually WAS wheeling it with the swaybar disconnected and no bumpstops lol (even though it was only 2wd).

4" backspacing on 31x10.50. They barely stuck past the flares

They look good, but seems like almost everyone is running lifted XJ's with these rims. Basslicks has a ton of pics but for some reason his wheels/tires don't look as wide as everyone elses.
I'm gonna have to pull one of my rims off tomorrow and gently put one of these new ones on to see how far they stick out.

Probably because the tires in those pics are 235/75r15s and others have been posting up 30-33" tires - which are much wider and are a game changer.

Ah. I see your point. I'll pull a wheel tomorrow and mount one of the new ones (gently) and see how it looks. I'm only running 235's so hopefully won't be too wide.

Trust me man.... if they stick out past the flares at all, I'll be a little surprised.

SURPRISE !! I'm thinking these rims are a hard NO. Stick out alot farther than I was expecting, not gonna work for me. I either have to sell them or return them.

Stock steel wheel with 235.

New rim - front

New rim - above

Yeah, I would suggest a 15x7 wheel with backspacing in the range of 4.25-4.5" for any tire 31x10.50 or smaller.

The outside of a 15x8 wheel with 3.75" backspacing will stick out 2.5" farther than your stock wheels.
