mines like getting a turtle to move... i did change the dist cap router wires and plugs and then used alil seafoam and it was alil peppier but still i can go 110 but it takes like mile and a half. haha

Yours tops out slow then. I've seen stockers on youtube break 120.


And yeah, when my Jeep was stock it was a monster up to 40 mph, like really threw you back, and after that it just kinda chugs.

Mine is slow. I can chirp second but thats about it. Its a jeep not a race car so as long as it gets me to work im fine with it.

when i took mine to the drag strip for s**ts and giggles i was running mid 10's at alomst 70, on the eighth mile of course

Fast is a relative term. I read somewhere that the 0-to-60 time was 9.8 seconds. Relatively speaking, that's on the slower end of the spectrum, but for a very capable SUV, the Cherokee is no slouch.

And if you really like to punch it frequently, (how does the saying go) "it'll pass everything on the highway except a gas station."

I like that saying. I dont punch it but sometimes I find myself going 85-90 after not looking at the speedometer for a while.

In stock form, they're fairly snappy for a legit 4X4, especially of that era. I don't know if I'd use "fast", but I've driven performance cars most of my life.

Of course, as you "Jeep it up" more and more, you expect speed less and less...

face it, its a tin can with a hot big six, mine is "gutsy" ive been saying since i got my first 98

Honestly i think they are slow to me,Drive a newer diesel 4x4 pickup or any newer pickup.
