I'm in the process of removing the fuel (gasoline) rail and lines from
my '95 4.0 XJ . First time working with these quick disconnect fittings.
I got the supply/return fittings disconnected. Still thinking about the ones
that attach to the injectors. The repair manual so conveniently states:
"Note: when ever a fuel system disconnect fitting is disconnected, the
O-rings, space and retainer must be replaced". There is also mentioned
and illustration(s) for a 'replacement kit - disposable plug'.
Does anyone have a source for these parts to reconnect the fuel lines
when I have the replacement motor installed. I scanned the illustrations
but don't know how to upload to this post.

Evil, evil "quick disconnect" ... dealt with (and eliminated) these on the tranny cooler line while replacing my radiator this weekend.

 

Yeah, but these are on the fuel rail, where they deal with high pressure in the 50 psi range. I don't think you can just eliminate them.
