Got the MJ running again after sitting dead for two months. Replaced the ICM and fuel pump. Now get this, I had a BOSCH pump that is lifetime warranty. I take it out and back, the guy says they don't have any BOSCH in stock, just Airtex. I needed a pump so took it. Opened the box to check it out, it's NOT an Airtex, it's a Walbro unit in an Airtex box.
Relocated my CB a bit. Just moved it further back on the roof bracket so it's not hanging down so low. Now that I have the ZJ seat installed, the rearview mirror was right in my field of vision.... created a nifty little blind spot.
Now I can move it up and out of the way a bit. This is definitely my only complaint about these ZJ seats. I'm 6'1", so there's not much headroom to speak of anymore.

I trashed the unlocking hubs. Put in new ball joints, unit bearings and brakes. Also not Jeep related but I sold my powermate for Rubicon run funds. Didn't even have a full tank of gas through it. Been dragging it around since 91 and it was time to go. Sold it to a guy and his two dogs living in his jobs storage yard trying to get back on his feet.
I'm not sure if it would work for your application but you can find DOM tubing in just about any size online, just measure the inside of hole that you're going to sleeve and the bolt diameter, then order based on those measurements for ID and OD of the tube and cut it to length.
I have to agree I think some tubing would do the trick for that. I'll have to look at mine, but something makes me think that the bolt was not centered in that giant hole. I didn't care for the 2 thin washers that they gave me to cover up the hole. Why couldn't they at least cut out a small piece of 1/8" plate to cover that hole?
Broke the rear driveshaft clean at the ears, easy peasy to remove it, drove back to the parking lot in FWD, and then a nice guy gave me his spare so I can make it home (I had 2.25 hour drive, while he trailered his jeep).
Also dented the roof line where it meets the side panels (near the A pillar above the drivers door) but not enough to make the door inoperable.
When I broke the driveshaft, I was winched out (my front tires was hanging on a rock ledge and wouldn't be able to get over it without the rear tires). So the guys behind me can come out of the very narrow trail.
The guy behind me broke BOTH his front and rear driveshafts on the same ledge.
Finished phase one of my ONE set up. I a wet filter to keep it oiled, the stock a.c. compressor, then a barbed-1/4" fitting screwed to a female chuck connector. And a switch to engage the compressor.
also put some pool noodle/inner fenders in to keep mud from spraying me with no doors

Yeah my head's been brushing the roof for a while but last time I tried to mod/install the power seat rails from the ZJ I ended up redoing my entire passenger area floor...lol maybe someday I'll finish that project
Have fun cleaning the mouse poop out of it. Been there done that!
Its not nearly as bad as my mighty max was when I got it. The inside is pretty dang clean to have been sitting so long. Should make a fun little project
