Night and day difference. Wish I did it earlier. It now rides how I expected it to from the start.

I only took one leaf out so no worries. It was the 2nd one from the bottom. About the same size as most add-a-leafs.

For sure. I only mentioned it because you said you might take out another if that one didn't get you where you wanted.

That is a very valid point haha. Seeing how it is sitting after my drive to work, I think I am going to leave it with the one leaf out. It looks pretty good to me now. What do you think?

Looks good to me! Have a before picture for reference? Could always get and extra coil spring isolator to bump the front up just a tad. But I'm with ya! Looks pretty good!

When are you putting 33's under there?

33s will come during phase 2. Phase 2 will be long arm 4 link, 33s, e-lockers, frame stiffeners, 1 ton steering and some nice bumpers. Might bump it up to 4.5" at that point too.

This seems to be the best before picture I have at the moment.

Yep just enough! I have a feeling its going to settle another 1/4" and that would make a near perfect 1" drop from before. Right where I wanted to be. But in all honesty, I really didnt care if it came out level with the leaf removal. I really just wanted a better ride and thats exactly what I got.

It looks like today is the day I go on my first real long adventure in the Jeep. Last night I did the 4 hole injector swap and put some fresh Delo oil in it. Hoping to get some decent gas mileage! So the start of the trip is down here in southern CA, San Bernardino to be exact. From here, I am driving 400 miles north to San Jose to meet up with some friends (not Jeep people unfortunately). From there, we will head over to San Francisco. From San Fran we are going down to Monterey. I am really hoping to have enough time to stop by Laguna Seca! After we mess around in Monterey, heading down to Pismo Beach. We are going to spend the night on the beach (in a tent!) and hit up the dunes the next morning. After we are done playing in the dunes, its a 5 hour drive back home. We are taking the coastal route so there should be awesome views the entire time. I am not expecting any problems with the Jeep but we will see. I have done everything possible to make it a reliable vehicle and it has done just that for the past 2500 miles I have owned it. So whats another 1000 miles to add to it? Wish me and the Jeep luck! If you guys dont hear back from me by Tuesday, you know something went wrong.

Well I made it. Just a tad under 400 miles so far. No issues and the Jeep cruised great. 18 mpg so far doing 75 mph. Display says 21. All up hill with a side wind. Going back home should be a lot better. We will see what the next tank brings.

Been driving around San Francisco all day. Not a good area to have a stick. Some hills are literally at a 45 degree angle. Pretty sure my clutch is mad at me. Currently eating some food in China town and then about to cross the golden gate bridge. Tomorrow I start heading back south.

And back to the hotel. Thanks to San Franciscos wonderful streets, I now have a random clunk going on in the front right. Sounds like a tie rod end. It still drives just fine but ill check in out in the morning. On to some more pictures. Entering the city on a pretty huge bridge.

This is that one really popular street that is super steep and windy. Lombard rd I believe. Yes the Jeep went down it and I have a video.

A cool building.

Golden gate bridge from up the side of a mountain

Alcatraz island

[I]They said the bathroom is just down that really steep set of stairs and around the corner. It was a creepy place.

Quite angry right now. 3 hour detour with no signs. See my spot on the map? Yep had to turn around and go all the way back to Monterey. Not cool at all.

Sorry about your detour; those are some great photos of San Francisco! I've only been in California twice, each time en route to somewhere else. I'd love to just see it on it's own--
