Default Instrument Cluster OP gauge not working

I want to see my oil pressure! I have replaced the sensor but the gauge is still pegged all the way to the right. I have no check engine light so I think the problem is the gauge itself. How do I go about diagnosing this further? This is on a 1996 jeep Cherokee.
Thanks for the input.

Tap the plexi glass see if that works! Lol are any of your other gauges malfunctioning and you said you replaced the sensor, im assuming that would be the oil pressure sending unit sensor?

Actually did try previously tapping/pushing on gauge to no avail and when I said replaced sensor yes I was referring to the oil pressure sender. Also all my other gauges are working correctly.

thanks for stopping by cruiser; with the sender unplugged the gauge is still pegged out to the right.
Here's a picture of how it looks
