same, urban wheeling is a nono here in tx since all land in the state is privately owned

I wheeled all over in PA. You don't need to go to Rausch to get a "Rausch" experience lol. I've seen buddies thrash there **** on local stuff. Hell, I've been in some difficult situations with my rig a few times out in random areas. Were these legal spots? No idea. But everything's legal until you get caught, right?

yea, I'm still new to hobby so I haven't seen all the ropes yet. PA is a vast state, in sure there is stuff all over. Just nothing in my backyard as far as I can tell.

Plenty of land in PA to wheel. Just gotta hook up with the locals to see where they go. It's tough when you're new. I'm not familiar with your location so I couldn't help ya. Where I was living, my backyard was the woods. I'd drive out with my guns and go shooting. Good timesssssss
I guess I just got lucky with my location. I mean I have lived in the area my whole life so I know it pretty well. But I did not choose my location just cause the trails were so close. Thats just a plus. Over the past 10 or so years, I have explored pretty much every trail around here yet I can still find new ones. It is crazy how far some of them go too. Never had one issue with the rangers either. They normally give you a wave and just pass on by.
Not much to report on my Jeep for once. All I have been doing, is well, driving it. That's what you are supposed to do right? Today is now the third day in a row I drove it to work. No death wobble so far although at times, it feels like it wants to. Cruises very nice at 70-75 mph with the new gears. I hopped in my Juke last night to go run down to the store, and it was like being in a completely different world. So much different then driving the Jeep!
As far as Jeep progress goes, I lubed all the front zerks and finally popped the rear sway bar off. Other then that, I just need to get a new front window and put some more miles on it. The other half is going to be driving the Jeep 2 days a week to keep miles off her car so I need to make sure nothing bad is going to happen. I will probably drive it the other 3 days to keep miles off my DD. Its so nice driving the Jeep instead of working on it! This weekend will include another trip in to the mountains for some fun.
The brackets that mount on the rear leaf spring plates for your rear sway bar can be used as bar pin eliminators for your front shocks. Will give you an extra inch of shock down travel.

Free is always good! Did not know you could do that. Thanks! But my buddy has some new 5100's that he wants to offload for $50. They are close to the right length for the front. About an inch too long after the conversion to the factory stud style top mount. So my thought was to modify the top shock mount to allow the use of a bar pin style shock. That would gain back the inch I lost with the adapter and allow me to use the 5100 shocks. I would just need to weld a plate up there and drill some holes. Thoughts?

You can make some similar to this for the upper mount on the front shocks. Pretty straightforward, otherwise JKS wants 50 bucks for these silly little things.
For the front, you can use those sway bar brackets to make lower BPE's, they also work in the rear for the upper shock mount.
Lack - I get what you are saying. But thats more like a bandaid for my current shocks. Im trying to get the longest shock possible for my travel/compressed height. So yes i could make some sort of top mount like you posted but thats going to cut an inch off the shock length. If i convert the top mout to a traditional 2 bolt mount like the bottom, the top would sit in the exact same spot its at now. And that would allow me to use an inch longer shock and get 2 inches more travel. The higher up the top shock mount is, the longer shock you can run, right?
