So Im lifting my '99XJ. Here is what Im looking at doing:
Small 2" lift kit with shackles, spacers and a t-drop. Buying Skyjacker 2" lift shocks.
I want to run 33x10.5 DuraTracs on Cragar 15x8 D-Locks but I DONT want to cut anything. Im not doing any real flexing, I just want some bigger rubber for the mud and snow Im in often.
Im currently running stock Jeep wheels right now with 235/75/15 Wrangler RT/S's. Im wondering if the 2" is going to be enough to run a tire this big without cutting and without rubbing. If not, should I go to a 31"? I mean, by the looks of it as she sits, the 4" of extra tires will fit, but Im not going to have a TON of room. Any suggestions?

You'd be surprised how quick that extra 2 inches takes up space. I have a 2 inch lift now, just like your planning. I test fit 31s and you rub on any bump and every turn. All that room you think you have just evaporates haha. trim your fenders and fit whatever size you like haha.

Now the Nankang Mudstars that I have on the other hand, I HATE. They grip well in mud, limerock, sand, and rocks... but they suck in wet traction, they go out of balance quickly, and they don't wear evenly. The tread pattern is IDENTICAL to the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders... so if Maxxis actually made these tires, I'd have to say I'm sorely disappointed in them.
So do your research man. Google is quite a companion nowadays.
