Ok so here's what I tell everyone that wants to run 30s. Why? Let me explain a bit why you should go with a different size, namely a 235/75r15. There are a few reasons. First, 30s and 235s measure out to nearly the same size. 30s don't actually measure to 30 inches. More about 29.6 inches. 235s are are bout 29 to 29.3 inches in some brands. Next reason, there are bout really ALOT more options in a 235. The last reason and probably the best, is that 235s are cheaper. You will get a tire that is nearly the same size as a 30x9.50 or whatever, for less money. Just my thoughts. I have 235s now and will either get another set when mine wear out or jump to 31s. To heck with 30s haha their dying out fast.

Next thing. Some here say they run spacers perfectly fine. But alot will also say they are dangerous. You said you like your rims now. But there are alot of nice rims thatv you can get with the proper backspace to achieve a wider stance. Many as low as $40 each. Just my 2 cents.

 

When i purchased my heep it had 235/75 tires with a 2" shackle and spacer with the same wheel spacers you mentioned.
Very similar setup that worked well.
The spider trax spacers are hub eccentric and have a really good fit.
I say if you really want to keep the stock wheel then it is a good choice.

I have my new coils in and UCA and LCA's installed and need to be torqued. What are the torque specs for the 4 uppers and 4 lower bolts.

 

Yes they are 235's.
I agree they are the perfect size for a 2".

 

Constantine, yeah I think I might just do that. I had spidertrax spacers on an '07 Wrangler and had no issues. Just mad sure I checked them from time to time. The picture you posted, is that with the spacers on?

 

I currently have 30x9.5 BFG's on a 3 inch (likely sagged to around 2")

They fit fine with no rubbing or trimming, even fully flexed they don't rub.

I'm not a fan of wheel spacers. In my opinion, it adds an extra point of failure while accomplishing the same thing as a set of aftermarket wheels, for about the same price.

That said, many people do use spacers without a problem. If you're going to use them because you like your factory wheels, the important thing is to buy a good brand. Spidertrax is the only one I personally recommend.

 

They fit fine because they aren't much larger then 235s haha. Constantine tires probably look like the same size to your 30s unless you put them close together. Less then half an inch difference total and a quarter inch extra ground clearance. All me and him were saying is that 235s are about the same as 30s but cheaper and more selection

 

Oh no doubt, I was just confirming that running that size tire is a non-issue. I agree with you guys on the 235's. Only reason I'm running these tires is because thats how I bought the jeep.

Oh of course. I just despise 30s man haha. If your looking for a larger tire you really just need to go to 31s. At the shop I work at, there are so many people wanting to go from 235s to 30s and I have to explain 235s are better. 235s at extremely common on not only xjs but also many other other mid sized SUV's and small trucks. Blazers, Rangers, Nissan and others. So people come in saying they heard about 30s and Yada Yada haha. There's just no benefit to paying more for them over 235s.

Awful lot of coin to pay for a 2" lift, IMO. If it were me, I'd just grab a set of s10 or dakota springs and mix n match until I got the 2" I was looking for. Then, I'd get a set of ACOS coil spacers for a couple hundred bucks (they're adjustable).

x2 on this. And I wouldn't run the spacers. If you're going to, use Spidertrax as others suggested or Alloy USA. I had 235/75s on 15x8s w/ 3.75 backspacing and they looked great. Never rubbed...well... never WOULD'VE rubbed if my passenger fender was installed correctly. Then I swapped over to 31s on stock TJ wheels and trimmed fenders. The "stance" was plenty wide enough.
