My wife's Liberty had a slow leak in the FR tire. Nothing in the tread either.... Soooo I took the full size spare off the back and swapped it with the FR... Who's the bad hubby now?

Bottom pic the top plate and end caps are just tacked in to see if I like the direction it was going top is about halfway to finish fitting and burning it home...lol...after this it will be time to true up and make the tube doors and skins pretty ...all this pretty up work just to smash it into boulders...lol...seems a bit retarded , but it will look good for a few runs .

Got my wheels in today and mounted them up at work.

Pro Comp, 15x8 with 3.75 backspace.

Threw 10oz of balancing beads in each of them. Never used beads before but didn't want a ton of weights on the wheels to get knocked off. Only time will tell how they work, the beads came with new valve cores to prevent them from causing a leak or coming out. Tried my currie deflater on them with the beads and didn't have any issues. Im still skeptical but staying optimistic.

30x 9.5 BFG's vs the 35x12.5 MTR's

Low cog build??? Lol

After a lot of info gathering and internal debate, I pulled the trigger on a "budget lift" for my free '96 XJ; Crown Auto HD springs front and rear, and spacers for the front. One of the guys at the Crown retail shop had these components on his, and it looks just a little taller than stock. I really have to keep this vehicle on a shoestring, and these parts cost just over $300. During install I'll remove the rear sway bar, and I'll eventually make my own front sway disconnects. I'll post before/after suspension photos later.

I'll never use traditional weights ever again. Been using beads for years now. Toss your skepticism out the window, LOL

The 242 works better in combination with LSD. check the Junk yards for Volvos. You can find info on what to look for in this thread/video https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/vo...er-d30-203075/
