Drove 7 hours from St Louis to Chattanooga to pick up this little camper. Turned around and drove another 7 straight back. Wife has no excuses to not camp now, and having a kitchen on board makes camping with an 8 month old much easier. Anyway...

I was going up a super steep grade doing like 75 the whole time, kind of seeing how well the jeep would handle the trailer. Pulled over to get some lunch and sure enough, I pushed some tranny fluid up out the breather. It didn't leak again the next 6 hours but I went really easy on it.

Where do I get a get a good tranny cooler? I know folks like b&m. Anyone make a kit for the xj so I don't have to make some ghetto bracket to mount it?

I live in the mountains. Tow in 3rd rather than drive. No problem

Put a green door on the gremlin so that it all kinda matches. But now my windows don't work at all. The door was a 96 so swapped in my harness and used my panel. Not sure why it doesn't work now. Also have to switch the body panel so it matches. But it's deer season so had to call it quits for today to get in the stand.....

Was playing around on eBay and put in a $230 offer on a set of RE1462s. Thought for sure it was going to get shot down. Nope. The roll cage for the Gremlin is put off for another month.

Ordered a switch panel that I'm going to try real hard to get into RealHawk.

Aired up my tires because of the temperature swing. One of them looked low and for good reason: It had dropped to 10psi. All of them were below 16, but now they're back up to 26

I made the 30 mile trip to work today. Going to be leaving here shortly. Pray to the Jeep gods that she doesn't decide to want new parts on the way home....

after reading various notes on here about headlight upgrades I ordered a putco harness. the harness came today. I took the front off the jeep and opened the harness which did not fit(wrong plugs) while putting things back together i decided to check the voltage to the bulbs. With motor running meters 14.2 volts. Do I need to upgrade?

It's still recommended because the factory setup puts all that current through the switch on your dashboard

You wont see a voltage drop, has more to do with the amount of resistance the smaller gauge wiring has. A headlamp harness also helps to preserve your factory headlamp switch.

New front brakes, buttoned up the Dana 30 with the new Spartan locker and took her for a test drive, nothing exploded or fell off so I guess its all good now lol. Also stopped by a local JY who is willing to let me take the D44's front and rear out of an 84' Grand Waggy for $500 (drive shafts included) thinking I need to jump on that but not sure how much of a PITA fabbing up the axles for use on my XJ will be.
