I got the tires ordered. I waited because I had to sell my tire to some one and I lifted his jeep for them to fit. I went with the 285 75 17 little smaller than a 315 and a good bit narrower. I like that they were narrower. Also I got the wheels painted and wheel spacers in.

3.5 inch lift and the tires fit nice. The lift was crap but the tires fit. So I don't care.

Way cheaper and longer warranty than what I was looking at.

For the first time my jeep had death wobble. I drive the same way home every day and it did it last night. I may because of the tires not being balanced or something because I am still borrowing some ones tires. But I think the real reason is because someone gave me a Jeep Grand Cherokee because it needs some work and have been working on other jeeps and got made.

It's a 97 has 22000 power everything and it all works. It needs a heater core and the rear window doesn't open and has a electrical drain. He Also said that the exhaust manifold is bad but I have not looked at that yet. I may keep it or I may sell it once fixed.

If I sell it I would like to buy a plasma cutter and get a another Cherokee and make a truck out of it like this.

Leave the doors on, but start with a 2 door. I would like to strait with a 2 door because I would like to make one with a little room behind the seats. Some what like a extra cab.

Got the wheels and tire mounted and...

34 1150 17 falken at3w. No low speed lug feel and they are quiet. But my speedo is way off.

Didn't go any higher due to not having correct (or any rear bump stops)

Not working on the jeep at the same rate I have been but still changing things and coming up with new ones. I am not in much of a rush because I don't drive it, but am getting to a point where I would like to start taking it offroad as it has never really done any or have I. I am working on getting the body prepared for the rustys offroad steel fenders. And fighting with the duralast battery's I have exchanged one and may need another one. Should of got a optima and I may end up with one.

Bought a different and less expensive mode of transportation.

Finished making the rock sliders. 2 inch tube for the part you see. It is 63 inches long and has 30 degree cuts on the ends and has caps. Rocker tie in is 57 inches long and made from 1 inch angle iron with 8 bolts holding it on.3 mounting legs from 1 inch tube with mounting plates and self tapping bolts.

I made it as close to the body as I could get it

I removed my fenders and started filling the holes.

Got a adjustable hitch fro harbor freight and made it longer where is goes in the receiver because this bumper has a boot that you tighten to help the hitch from jumping. With out it it jumps a lot due to hole being a little to big.

Made a box to hold a reverse light, trailer hookup and the back up camera.

I am in the process of making the jeep more fun, able to drive everyday as i plan to take it with me to florida as i am going there for school for a little less then a year. Because i have never used this as a "daily driver" because i never need a "daily driver" as i do not drive that much and have had other cars i could use. A few things are changing.

-it will no longer be tan but still painted with bedliner (monstaliner)
-it will be getting new fenders (rustys offroad)
-something will be done about the over heating (maybe hood vents)
-doors are now removable (just the front doors)+
-front speakers will be getting some changes as well as the amps

here is the latest photo of it. It is as taken apart as it has been in a while.

If anybody has done the door less mod and has power doors i would like to know what you used as a quick disconect for all the wires as it is a chore to get the factory connector through the hole on the jeep.

Making progress, bought the fenders and started installing them. Also trying to finish the front speakers. Looking at buying focal 2 components And mounting the tweeter in the sail panel but not a big issue at the moment

No stance

They have a good bit more room then the other flares

Thank you. They are very involved on installing.
I went a head and bought the focal component set due to fear the that they may go back up in price. Now all I need is a new amp to power them.

Very close to putting paint on. Hope to have it done by Monday.

Cut the crap out of the fenders and welding them back together

Doing final sanding and using body filler to fix dents. I am surprised how straight this body is. The only dents on it are the ones I put on it working on it.

Just checking the tire clearence and seeing what else needs cut.

Here is all the paint. I went with 2 gallons of main color and a quart of black.

This is the speaker test mounted, I had them in and out about 5 times changing them to how I wanted them. I changed the door panel carpet to black. I also had issues with the included grills (I put a hole in the rubber surround and got a warrenty replacement).

Playing with tweeter locations

Making tweeter pods for the sail panel.

This is the tweeter pod covered in a shirt and fiberglass resin

Covered in carpet for now. I don't really like it but it will work for now.

Passenger side tweeter pod.

Drivers side

Basically done door. Still needs a little cleaning.

It is very close to going back on the road. I ordered black bolts for the fenders because it would of drove me crazy having all black fenders with Chrome bolts like my last ones did. I do not like chrome on jeeps. The front speakers sound really good. They have very strong midbass and a very good tweeter. And pointing them directly at the driver really makes them shine. But my head unit does not have a high pass any lower than 100hz and my cheap amp doesn't have a high pass so that will be changed.

And it is 99% done. I need to put the antenna on reconnect washer bottle, need a few pieces of window trim, clean up some wiring and some other small things.

Final sanding a body prep.

Looking at the new and improve clearance.

In primer

In color.

Changing all the wheel studs as the last ones were to short.

Found some rust.

And where it is now.

Today I cut my inner fender seams on the front, changed my lug nuts to black ones, and reinstalled my rock sliders. Still a few things left but getting closer to black together.

Before

After
