I just read your ENTIRE thread...and I must say the Jeep is looking good. Its come a long way. Hats off for the patience you had to get it where you want. Keep up the good work
Well, that's cool of them. I had done it 2-dig many times to make it more fun. LoL
lol... yeah, it's gonna be a whole new world this year being 4wd AND lifted. I'm not gonna know what to do with myself.

Thanks man! I'm really pleased with it. Even more so now that I have it running properly.
Couple quick updates...
Snagged a set of ZJ seats - man are they CUSH! I need to get a set of late model XJ sliders to be able to install them. Even have to do some modifications to the XJ sliders to make them work, but there's pretty much NO WAY to make the 92 sliders work. They're curved to accomodate the bottom of the XJ seats. Stupid things.
Also painted up the 98 console I have. Turned out real nice using the matte black Duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint. No pics yet, I'll post 'em up once I take 'em.
AAAAAAAND the mail lady brought me a present. Balancing beads by Tyre Beads. We'll see how well they work.
I've heard of those weird curved XJ seat rails. If you got the power seat rails it doesn't look too hard to fab up a base to work. Bit of angle iron and the power seat plug should already be under the carpet(different type though for some reason...). I'm hoping to get that done of of these trips home...lol. To comfy buns!

Let me know how they work for you. I am interested in them.
CHEERS! Well, not there yet, but I'm close. I can't wait man, they're like sitting on a cloud on my garage floor - can only imagine what a difference they'll be in the Jeep. I really surprise how well the bolsters seem to keep you in place. Much better than the XJ seats.

Well, these are power seats. However, the driver's side motor went out, I guess, 'cause they replaced the slider with a manual slider. I really hope the angle of the seatback isn't titled to ghetto proportions. I'll have to hotwire it to adjust it.

Should know by Friday. Was going to put them in in the last couple days, but I ended up with fluid in my lungs after a really bad asthma attack from cleaning out the garage. I don't have asthma, but that's what the Doc said it was... said it's essentially to seasonal and dust allergies what anaphylaxis is to food allergies. All I know is, it wasn't fun.
Dang. I've got allergies but the only time I've every had anything happen was when we went to check out a remote waterfall and ended up sprinting back to the car as clouds of mosquitoes decended. Took an extra claritin as that was the only thing I had. Now I keep benadryl in the Jeep too...lol nothing like the feeling of your throat closing while you're driving home.
An 18v battery should power the seats. Was thinking of modding a cheap tool to put a battery quick change slot on mine but it'll probably be easier to just hook into the factory wiring.

Mosquitos! FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! I hate mosquitos. State bird of Florida.
Nah, I'll wire it up correctly when I go to do it. Might use that battery idea just to get it where I want it for now though. I actually have a 12v cordless drill and an 18v cordless with 3 spare battery packs lol.
Well, I forgot to take pics... but I bought a new stereo. Old one finally crapped out enough that it was completely unuseable. It would power on, I could change the source, and eject the CD.... but that was it. Couldn't turn up the volume or anything. And the preset volume wasn't loud enough to hear anything with the Jeep running.
So, I gave up 120 bucks and bought the one I've had my eye on for a while....
Sony MEX-N5100BT
Thought I was just going to be able to pull the old one out (also a Sony) and use the wiring plug that was already there. Nope. New Sony stuff is a smaller plug so I had to re-wire the harness... AGAIN.
Should have it all up and running tomorrow morning.
