He pre-approved the lift, the WJ is surprisingly low to begin with and he can step in/out without climbing. I mainly need more chassis clearance for deep sand and marsh areas. Once the chassis is grounded, self-extraction becomes near impossible.
The XJ had 5" lift, taller tires, and a smaller entry/exit.

I'm lovin' all the progress on the dub. Can't wait until the first of the year when I can get another one for my wife. She misses that over any other vehicle she's had.

Agreed.
In other news, I stretched her new legs today for the first time...

So being at 3" now, do you guys think my rear driveshaft will be long enough for 4.5"? I plan on ordering an Adam's driveshaft but don't want to do that until I get everything dialed in.

I did my Bastard packs in the spring, the shackles I got at Napa had some of the hardware but I had to add to it. I wound up only being able to source the other bolts at the dealership local to me. The bolts were about 9.00 each and the nuts 6.00, go figure. Cover the spring bolts in anti seize when you install them otherwise they may rust into the bushing sleeves.

lol... well, I'm glad you got your cargo space back buuuuuut - I'm not a fan of the spare being there. The spare I have actually does fit there now, but I still have it laying down because I hate having that much weight to one side of the Jeep. I'm 280lbs myself so every little bit counts.

personally I would wait, you could always jack up the back 1.5" and then measure but it will change the length some.

Using an XJ front shaft with Hack-N-Tap, yes.
Using an XJ front shaft with internal SYE, maybe, will have to measure remaining slip-shaft.
SatiricalHen has a good suggestion.

I know with my internal sye I had to use a zj shaft ~3" of lift still cheap though.

The biggest difference seems to be between automatic and manual transmission.

I have a manual transmission. I also have a SYE but it's not hack and tap. I am currently running a 5.2 ZJ front shaft which is 3" longer than an xj stock front driveshaft out of an auto.
