Bought this 2nd light bar to replace the one that was stolen a few weeks ago.
Reinforced the wiring with metal flex conduit.
Also Epoxy-coated the light bar mounting bolt this time.
Essentially gluing the bolt to the light bar, semi-permanently.
Ran the wiring for the rear rack lights along the roof rack framework with quick disconnects. So if the roof rack needs to be removed for any reason the lights can simply be unplugged and they go with the rack.
I used 2-wire trailer harness quick connects and 4-wire trailer harness quick connects at all the needed points.
All the wiring going into the cab is neatly tucked above the headliner and down the passenger a-pillar. Out of sight, out of mind!
Just need to add another switch to control these new lights, at the moment all of my switches are being used. Don't worry I have plans to correct this issue.
(HINT: overhead console, or custom overhead switch panel, IDEAS?)
