Nice! Whenever I build a trail only vehicle, I totally want an MJ. Or maybe a samurai with the axles that are under my jeep right now. I've thought about this a lot actually. Build the stock axles for now on the jeep, drive it for a couple years like that, then put those axles under a samurai when I put bigger axles under the jeep. Built stock Cherokee axles can handle 35's no prob, and a samurai on 35's would be nasty.
And I'm pretty sure I could pull that samurai to the trails with my jeep. At least flat tow it.

Took her off-road. Impromptu. At speed.
On 35S from Austin today, truck in front of me suddenly swerved into the next lane... leaving me staring at the cars at a dead stop he almost hit. I jammed on the brakes, but knew it was useless.
With a van beside me, I took my only option. Let off the brakes, and put her into the grass still going 55+.
She bounced, slid, jerked, pretty sure I caught a little air. Finally skidded to a stop, and pulled her back onto the highway. Rest of the way back she drove fine, but I'm of course gonna check her over tomorrow.
Hair raising as hell, but SO glad I was in the jeep. In my lowered mustang, that would have been disastrously less pleasant.

have tried hitting the hatch like that a few times with no luck. I think it may have a broken link or clip. Im going to take the panel off from inside since it wont open period.
