Default Jks track bar

Hey guys just got done installing a bds 3 inch kit and a jks track bar. I noticed the the bolt the goes through this joint is at a pretty decent angle and is tight against the edge of the joint. Any issues with this? I was just imagining that it would be in the center.

Yeah I know, it was hard to get a decent shot without my phone camera flipping back and forth. The track bar is model JKSOGS128. I have about an inch of threads showing that lines up the axle pretty good. Not really sure how the install could have gotten messed up it was pretty straight forward.

Nope not cross threaded. I will take it off tomorrow and reinstall. I will report back with my findings.

Rotate the threaded end so it's straight then tighten the jam nut. It's common with heim joints too.

Well I listened to JPXJMOAB and loosened the jam nut, once i did i could just position the track bar to center up the helm joint and tighten the jam nut back up while (holding the track bar) this time. This site rocks once again!

For future reference-

You can use an angle grinder to flatten the bracket to allow the JJ to seat better.........my bracket was slightly rounded on the bottom.

Also, make a shim out of 1/4" or 3/8" stock........can't remember which fit better........with a u-shaped notch cut out. Use between the JJ and the bracket, will keep the JJ square with the bracket/bolt while you tighten the jamb nut at the axle end.....then remove shim.
