Take it you changed out the AWD for 2/4WD? If not, how did you make the lift work with AWD?

remove running gear



add a $100 1937 Ford body



and some new 33s, a home made frame, and Tada, a lifted ZJ.... Kinda....

My 95 5.2 zj with a junkyard sourced 3.5 RC lift with shocks springs, lcas, and rubicon express front track bar from a 4.0 zj so it's only lifted 3 inches, 32 inch Mastercraft mxt on 15x8 american racing steelies and spidertrax wheel spacers and roof bars from my old xj, just got the lift installed over the weekend so no off road pics yet

 

My 04 WJ 2.5 inch Fat Bobs coil spring lift with his shocks, 245/75 R16 Goodyear Wrangler Authority tires on stock rims.

 

How do you like those tires? I have a set myself, but haven't got a chance to do any wheeling with them yet.

 

They do pretty damn good off road. They are not super swampers, but the grip good in the mud. They take me where I want to go. I don't go extreme 4x4ing I would say I go medium to hard.

 

I got the chance to park right next to a WJ just like mine and took a pic.

 

Finally got to take it on a trial run, not too bad so far. That's with the front sway bar still connected.
Off topic but is there a grand cherokee of the month? If not we should get it started
