Got everything back together. The u-joints turned out to be pretty dry with rusting corrusting needle bearings so good call on replacing those too.
So new ball joints, hubs and axle joints. Feels and drives better. Getting a little diff fluid out the axle tube. Hope that's just residual and from being apart. Fingers crossed.

I finally finished mine off yesterday by doing the passenger side. I also got some diff fluid seepage on this side, but it seems to be a limited amount. Nice work
Friday... drove it almost 2 hours to Daytona
Saturday... drove it on the beach and around daytona, then 2 hours back home.
Sunday... drove it to work in the morning, from work to the gas station in the evening, then from the gas station about 10 miles back home
This morning, started it up, drove it out the driveway and it freakin' DIED! Started it up again, drove it 1/4 mile and died AGAIN! Limped it back home, stole the wife's car, and made it to work with only 2 minutes to spare... with no coffee
Not a happy camper today.
Updating the build thread as well... couple pics of Jeep Beach if anyone's interested.
Went to the JY yesterday. Didn't get anything but sunburn. For mine anyway. Grabbed a hood for gf's ZJ. This place has plenty of older model XJs and ZJs out the wazoo. I think it's time to find a new yard.
A couple of weeks ago I picked up a blank dash clock panel from a 94. Yesterday I put it in a CAD program: Then printed a new one: I might be able to fit three rows of 3 OEM 97+ switches in there: The future is awesome.
genius. What about people who want to delete the radio on 97+ jeeps Would u be interested in designing a template that would mount in place?
