Never thought of that I say go for it. Pretty sure you'd be the first to do it

Wouldn't the inside of it be rough and mess up the air flow in it?

Probably not enough to mess up air flow. I have a pretty good printer so it shouldn't be a problem.

How big is your printer? I find it hard to believe it's very practical given most commonly available printers have a max of 12"x12"x12" print space. That would mean making it in a bunch of segments and either welding or sealing then together some how. Also that's a lot of mass. Unless you are making your own filament or have access to it cheap it would be very expensive.

Of course it's not really that practical. Mine can do up to 27cm high with a 15cm diameter. I can make it so it's mostly hollow on the inside of the walls, and seal the segments with rtv. It'll also probably have paint over that as well. Mass shouldn't be too much of an issue. I can probably make it for around $60

I'm going to start 3d modeling it, and hopefully I can start printing it soon.

It's a dream maker overlord pro. It's decent. Looking back with the knowledge I have now I would've gotten something different though.
